RFU & North Mids RFU guidelines interpreted for Evesham RFC

Hope you have all had a good Christmas and a Happy New year.

Training will start again this Sunday. Been down and had a look at the pitches and the cricket outfield is in pretty good nick, as are the 2nd and 3rd team pitches, although the 2nd team pitch is a bit damp towards the far end. However the 1st and training pitches are still very wet, so training on Wednesday evening may be debatable, but we will address that later in the week.!!!

At present we are still working on the Stage E return to rugby rules that we were following pre Christmas. If any new advise is forthcoming we will forward it to you asap.

I have had a few queries about training and playing across tiers, so I thought I would just clarify to everyone!!

This was taken off the North Mids website

Age Grade

At the time of writing, the following still applies. We will advise of any changes if we receive an update from Government in the next few days.

• Age grade players may, due to Government exemptions for U18s, travel across tiers 1-3 to train or play and can be accompanied by one parent or carer. However, to protect all involved, we strongly recommend that wherever possible training and match play follows adult guidelines.
• Age grade players in Tier 4 may only travel within their specific Tier 4 area to train or play and may only be accompanied by one parent or carer.

After consultation with some members of the committee, we have decided that whilst the schools are closed there will be no midweek training for the junior section. Training will only take place on Sunday. We feel that, although we are allowed to train this will help to reduce the mixing of the kids, whilst they are away from school. Once everyone is back in the classroom, we will review this!!

Can I also ask everyone to reiterate to their parents that only one parent/carer per player is allowed to attend the training sessions. This is a stipulation of the RFU/Government and must be followed, if the club is going to stay within the guidance.
