Evesham Rugby Club’s Under 10’s played Host to Bromsgrove RFC on Sunday in their first fixture of the season. The first half of the game saw Bromsgrove push forward and gain a couple of tries, despite some great tackles from Oliver Turner and Tommy Westby. In the second half Evesham kept up the pressure with some great defensive play from Ryan Thomas, Ben Cross and Aiden West who prevented Bromsgrove from scoring with a final score of 2-0 to Bromsgrove. Undeterred Evesham played just as hard in their second match, with an early try by Bromsgrove in the first half spurring Evesham on to play an action packed second half. Despite two fantastic runaway tried from Tommy Westby and Kaylar Raymer and some great defensive tackling from Myles Cook, Jim Tegg, Oliver Hyatt and Archie McIvor the match ended in a 3-2 victory to Bromsgrove. Their perseverance and hard work paid off in the third and final match of the day where great tackling from George Bell, Jonathan Tarring and Connor Ellis, prevented the visitors from pulling forward. An interception from Ashley Symonds resulted in a try and with help from Adam Moss and Nathan Ellis, Symonds placed a further try which resulted in a draw, 2-2.
