Match 1 Won 3-2 Match 2 Won 5-2 Match 3 Lost 2-0

Evesham under 10’s played some fantastic rugby in a away fixture with Upton upon Seven on Sunday, where they won two games and lost one.

Evesham Blues were the first team to play and set the pace with some great tackles from Ashley Symonds, Adam Moss, which resulted in a try from Samuel Hayler. Undeterred Upton were quick to even the scores, however some great tactical play from Kaylar Raymer and Ryan Thomas resulted in a further try from Hayler. A push from Upton saw the scores level again. A couple of penalties and some great defensive play from Archie McIvor, George Bell and Nathan Ellis gave Alistair Righton the opportunity to score the winning try of the game.

In the second match Evesham Blues, were the playmakers and within a minute through collaboration with Tommy Westby and Benjamin Cross, the first try of the game was scored by Westby which was quickly followed by a further try by Westby, as a result of an offload from Jonathan Tarring. Upton scored just before half time, but Evesham wanted this and the second half of the game saw Evesham up their game. A cracking tackle from Aiden West resulted in a try for Jim Tegg, who with the support of Connor Ellis and Myles Cook was able to score a further try. A penalty provided Tommy Westby with the opportunity to score the final try of the match.

In the third match Evesham’s game had lost its momentum and they didn’t appear hungry for victory which provided Upton with the opportunity of scoring the first try before half time and a further try which took them to victory in the second half.
