Please let me welcome you all to yet another fun packed , exhilarating match report , please bear with me as whilst now on crutches the cruel streak in Ed and JB still made me write the reports up.! Man up it was what they said , man up.! Screaming in my face they were.

Ok , here goes. First things first, let’s get a few things out of the way : -

• Postcode on the email was wrong , JB – what were you playing at , this is so amateurish , mind you we had a lovely time driving around a housing estate though mumbling those words “ there is never a rugby club around here is there “ Only 2.5 miles away.
• The old famous £5 programme for entry raised its head again , love this , such a blow on a Sunday morning , thinking what you could have spent this money on , oh well, it’s all about the kids
• Weather was sunny to start, then moving quickly to a 24mph ground speed wind , with drizzle , the wearing of shorts was a stupid move by me. Some say it was just to show off my injury, others realised I am just stupid.
• Nurse Sarah dressed my wound, I was very excited about this , no uniform though which was disappointing , however she was very rough ripping off my dressings , and laughing in my face. Charming , the caring nurse was out of the window. Although I have ordered a bed bath for Tuesday.
• I studied the £5 programme and worked out the fixtures for my report, then Bov had great pleasure in telling me teams had dropped out and they have scrapped it all..! We had a little whiteboard with numbers and teams on , still couldn’t work out who was playing who..!
• Ed and some secret agents must have got to the ground early as the tent was up, reckon there was a covert operation in the night to get this done.
• Simon - I noticed had a red Welsh collar poking out from his top , good man.
• Tim worked out quickly I could actually walk and the crutches were for sympathy , well spotted Tim.!
• So glad Jo didn’t drop me off but made me walk a mile to and from the car. Thanks Jo. Nice to see you carrying bags and chairs for a change though

Anyway on with the rugby : 3 match reports coming up….

Game 1 – 11.05am ( running late started at 11.12am ) Old Sils vs Evesham
Weather , cold , wind picking up.
Coaches – Bov and Ed look like the Booze brothers with their shades on ( sorry Blues Brothers ! ) , Tim looking menacing as usual , Simon ready for a fight. JB nowhere to be seen , floating in and out like some royalty these days.!
Parents – Yes, they are here , feeling relieved it’s the last game / tournament of the season and we get a few months off now ! Lie ins on Sundays for some ! Lunchboxes at the ready , let’s go..!
Old Sils – inside out tops , they don’t look up to much – never underestimate inside out tops !
Their kick off to us , Good take from Ben Smithy , got nailed , Scrum to us though , forwards controlled it well, ball out to the backs , Will G big run , one handed , passed to Hamish , tackled, stolen , missed tackles from our boys , try to them , 1 – 0. Yes this is a live match , and it’s started.
Deep kick off from Gilders , great tackle by James , Will Brett steals the ball , ball is passed out , Will G takes it well , one handed run and over the line for a try Will G. 1-1. Good run , some would say pass it out , but it paid off and in for a try Mr G.! Strong and fast.
Old Sils come back strong , our boys missing tackles , still asleep ,showing classic traits of 1st game syndrome , we are not switched on yet , they push through and score a try , 2-1 to Old sils.
We are walking to the ball, Ed screaming at them to wake up. Tension is building.
We lost the ruck , Max goes through and spoils well, Ball flies out to the backs , Will G over for his second try 2-2 , we are in this now.
James great run , pass to Slate , tackled into touch , ref blows.
Half Time
4 coaches speed onto the pitch put the boys in a huddle to give them some strong coaching advice , not for the faint hearted believe me. My keyboard cannot even spell some of those words been used.
Will G kicks off , they catch and run straight back at us hard , 5 metre scrum , amazing tackle goes in by Rocco , good work from Joel, Scrum ours again , lost ball , Will G puts in a hard tackle , OJ from the side line screaming at Jack ( check OJ’s blood pressure later on , not sure if he has given up smoking ) Ed is now pacing up and down the line , Will G another great run , but too late , gets nailed cannot get the pass away in time. Jake hard run from the penalty off , this kid is tough , and his hair is still stuck up from last night , looking cool , Hamish hard run, you can see the fear on the boys faces who try to tackle him. Will G passes the ball, oh no interception and they sneak through for a try.
Kick off , few missed tackles , another try to them.
Parents are in a mess. Kids heads are down , usual for our first game.
Another try goes over , making it final score 5 -2 to Old Sils.
No parent to approach kids or coaches please.

Game 2 – Worcester Blue vs Evesham 11.54am
Ref – Welsh with a straw skirt on , can we take this guy serious. Some of the mothers commenting how they want to see Ed ref in a skirt like this , I kept out of it. Some were saying we have seen enough of Ed’s legs on what’s app Saturday night , shocking behaviour Edward.
Heads up boys, come on.
Kick off , Scrum to them , Mighty Mullen through and spoil at scrum half , Tackles going in harder from Evesham.
Evesham Penalty – Indy takes , great solid run , he must be still basking in his award from last night , good lad.
Big Kick from Gilds , Geordie puts in a great tackle , Will juggling with the ball , Huge tackle by Tom Stone stopping their try ( my son so am allowed to write this ! ) , half time. 0-0
Better passion from the boys in this game, coaches talk must have worked.
Kick off 2nd half , great run by Ben ( Smithy ) Hamish drives on , Injury on their side. Take off , head injury.
Rain has now started, it’s that wet rain , soggy sandwiches , but must not complain.
Max good strength running
Full fat Coke seen drank by Bov – no good for you mate , explains a lot.
Scrum theirs , getting cold now , fingers struggling to type , knee throbbing , but I will soldier on ( no sympathy please ) , Fur hats are out, no gloves as yet.
Great run by them ( very strong ) great tackle Gilds , Hamish run into touch , Jack rips the ball out , tackles need to go in lower , we hold them up , they pass the ball out , 2 metres from our line , my god seconds to go , ball goes to their winger , boom ! he drops it whilst clambering over the line ! no TRY , Ref blows . #wearesaved.

Ed strips off , he is now refereeing his game. Nice tight shorts , red top. Still miss his yellow top.
Good whistle skills Ed , great call, good decision , lovely running , well done Ed, keeping up with the game , clear precise decisions and actions.

Game 3 – 12.48pm - Pentrych vs Evesham
Panic – Gilderson lost his gum shield, looks everywhere , Simon going nuts , Will announces he has found it , in his pocket after all ! How many times has this happened to you as a parent ! Love it.
Ok on with the game
The mighty Welsh ( Pentrrych are on tour ! ) , we have a man with a Welsh flag , guy in a skirt , Cans of beer and Cider with the parents , what could possibly go wrong , must be from the valleys.!

Kick off
Will Lowe great tackle, good run by us , we are awake and alive now , third game trait. Coaches bemused by the game change , now we are in action big time
Big run by them , breaking our defence , missed tackle by Tom Stone at the back and they get a try ( I shall make Tom walk home for this ! ).
Shouts of come on Bryn , pass to Elwyn , where is Ivor echoed around the stadium , ok the pitch, It was like the Millenium stadium fever pitch.
Hamish , to Will G , who passes to Geordie , good take no. 16 can’t see who this is , think its Ben , I am in a daze , fast pace now , releasing the ball earlier seems to be working a lot better. A quick scrum and there you have it , Will G over for a try !! 1-1. We can do this boys ! or boyos en it.
Rocky goes on his run , off loads to James , Solid tackle from the player in the black scrum hat , lost the will to remember names , need a team sheet JB.!
Will Lowe performs a hard run , rain streaming off his face , off loads to Will G , ouch , that was a very high tackle on Will G , not good. Parents shudder.

Hamish run and kick charged down , Scrum , two metres out , injury to them ( man with dress runs on , now a medic , was a ref earlier)

Rob and Emma getting a little upset watching Wales getting beat , but are torn.
